Park Sports The Regent’s Park: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Beautiful facilities and truly exceptional customer service at Park Sports Regents Park. A special thank you to Danilo (Danny) for his understanding and prompt support with a last-minute booking change—he was incredibly helpful, positive, and a real pleasure to deal with. A huge asset to the team. Highly recommend!
Hi Onamaste, thank you for your positive feedback about Park Sports The Regent's Park and Danilo. We’ll be sure to pass this on and hope to see you again soon!
Negative experience: Nice weather terrible table tennis tables. £7 to play on broken tables. Please fix.
Hi DJ, I am sorry to hear about your recent experience at Park Sports The Regent’s Park. Your feedback has been relayed to our management team.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been playing at Regent’s Park Tennis for a while now, and it’s easily one of the best spots in London for a game. The courts are well maintained, bookings are simple through their online system, and the setting in the middle of the park makes it feel like a little oasis in the city. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a good range of coaching options too. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, it’s a great place to hit some balls. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: Great
Negative experience: I called an hour before my court booking to cancel because it was raining and the ground was clearly slippery. The staff told me the courts were “playable” and unless I showed up in person and proved otherwise, they wouldn’t refund or credit me — which is really unreasonable. I’ve been given a credit when I cancelled due to 30mph gusts — however, they still emailed me back and said that was “playable”. So what exactly counts as unplayable to them? When I went to check the courts this time, there were only a couple private lessons happening, not “lots of people playing” as they claimed. The weather is out of our control — customers shouldn’t have to travel all the way just to prove it’s wet and unsafe.
Hi Fung, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Our overall intention is to enable as many bookings and sessions as possible to go ahead. In line with our Cancellation Policy, customers who choose to be absent from a booked session for any reason and who fail to cancel their booking will forfeit their right to a credit or refund.
Negative experience: Love the padel courts and coaching whenever we can book, but a recent experience with Darren, their new business support manager, has been so frustrating that we’ll rethink if we want to try and book in the future. My husband couldn’t attend a padel tournament this weekend due to food poisoning during Easter holidays, he canceled his spot and it was immediately sold to another participant. Darren keeps insisting that in order for us to get £35 back to the account my husband needs to get a sick note from GP, even though Park Sports haven’t lost anything and we’ve been good customers of theirs for almost 2 years. He couldn’t get the sick note during Easter because surgeries were closed, so now he has to go to a GP after the fact just because! And NHS isn’t busy at all, is it. Thank you Darren, we’ll be looking to play elsewhere as this is just disgrace and we can’t trust Park Sports anymore.
Hi Victoria, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your recent experience and the frustration it has caused. Our support team has reached out to you via email to explain that, while the situation does not meet the eligibility criteria for a refund or credit under our standard Terms & Conditions, we have still extended an offer of credit as a gesture of goodwill—provided that supporting documentation can be supplied, in line with our Cancellation Policy for exceptional circumstances.
Fantastic experience: A nice, quiet environment; friendly and caring staff. I would like to come back.
Hi Michael, Thank you for your positive feedback about Park Sports The Regent's Park! We hope to see you again soon!
Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff! Always willing to help! Padel teachers are great!
Negative experience: £25 for 1 hour and they wouldn’t even let me use the shower after the match. Had to cancel my dinner plans. Don’t sell courts until 9pm at the same price as earlier slots if you can’t provide the same level of service.
Hi Jordi, Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused by the shower availability. Unfortunately, our opening hours are set by the park team, so extending them past 9pm isn’t currently possible. Our court pricing is based on demand, but we understand how important access to amenities like showers can be for our players. Your feedback has been shared with our management team, who will explore possible improvements.
Negative experience: This review is for Coach Sameer Kumar Bagga at the improver tennis drill session at Regent's Park. While I've had positive experiences with other coaches at this location, my encounter with Coach Bagga was incredibly disappointing. Unprofessional and Rude Behavior: After 40 minutes of participating in the improver session (including a successful first round of serves), Coach Bagga singled me out and yelled at me for not being able to serve. He offered no prior observation and not letting me speak when I wanted to tell him I am tired and I was able to serve for first a few rounds. He wouldn't let me explain myself, interrupting me with a loud and aggressive demeanor. Lack of Feedback: I received no constructive feedback or advice throughout the session. Coach Bagga's approach left me feeling discouraged and questioning my tennis ability. I understand coaches need to assess skill level, but this can be done respectfully. Shouting and interrupting students creates a negative environment that hinders learning. It's important to note that I've participated in group and private beginner lessons for months, and I play weekly. Other coaches suggested I try the improver session. Had he suggested respectively I return to beginner lessons if the improver level wasn't a good fit. I would have felt positive about the feedback. Overall: Coach Bagga's behavior left me feeling upset and discouraged about tennis. It's concerning that this happened in an improver class meant to support development.
Hi Sophie, I am sorry to hear about your recent experience at Park Sports The Regent’s Park. Your feedback has been relayed to our management team, who will investigate the matter internally.
Positive experience: Learnt tennis here // bit expensive pay as you play courts
Fantastic experience: The best place to play padel in London. Great courts (outdoor) and a great community of people to meet and play with.
Fantastic experience: Hermoso lugar para jugar y aprender tenis y padel. Seguro, limpio y ordenado.
Fantastic experience: A lovely place to get a drink and play some tennis
Negative experience: Real cheats! I signed up for beginners coaching in June 2021. Four of the ten sessions were cancelled because of the rains for which they gave a voucher without confirming the validity in writing but they said it was valid for 2 years. When I tried to use it after 1.5 years it had expired. Despite repeated emails and efforts to explain there was no response. What a shameful money making racket. But karma never misses an address!!
Hi Anuja, I’m sorry to hear you have had a bad experience with using your credits. I have raised this with our Head Office team who will be in touch shortly.
Fantastic experience: Lovely experience
Hi Mick, Thank you for your positive feedback about Park Sports The Regent's Park! We hope to see you again soon back on court or in our Café.
Fantastic experience: Amazing sport facilities.
Hi Dave, Thank you for your positive feedback and taking the time to post this review! We hope to see you again soon at Park Sports!
Fantastic experience: Jade at reception is brilliant. Honestly; so rare to find this level of customer centricity in the services industry these days. She should get 6 stars. Great courts, awesome vibe and a genuine community.
Fantastic experience: Nice place to have a tea or even play tennis. Actually they have Padel courts too. Pleasantly surprised that is wasn't too busy in the cafe. They even have plug points if you bring your laptop
Fantastic experience: Awesome Padel Community. Staff are brilliant.
Hi PJ! Thank you for your positive review. We hope to see you again soon for another game of Padel at Park Sports The Regent's Park.
Positive experience: hey bros! sometimes i like watching the scottish man teach his tennis here, practically a free lesson! problem is after 9pm veryyy dark but however open 24/7 compared to rest of park so amazing
Negative experience: It is very unclear on the website that you cannot rent any equipment here - you need to bring your own racquets
Hi Noa, Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience regarding renting equipment and we have taken your feedback on board. In our FAQs section we have stated that 'equipment is not available to rent', however we will look into ways to make this clearer for future customers. Alternatively, customers can also try out our exclusive ‘Park Sports Demo Racket Service’ (available on Pay & Play bookings) for just £25 per racket to ‘try before you buy’ on the latest Tennis and Padel rackets.
Positive experience: Nice courts with floodlights but the tennis courts are too close to each other.
Hi Xy, Thank you for your positive feedback and for taking the time to post this review. Dependant on the time you want to play next, we’d recommend courts 11 and 12 (both non-floodlit) for any future day-time games - which have no neighbouring courts and their own court entrances! We hope to see you again soon at Park Sports for your next game!
Fantastic experience: Great coffee. Good location and a pleasant outlook if you like watching tennis players. I'll tell you that the coffee has improved since I furst reviewed this place so I will add an extra star. Yes, coffee is much better. Lots of people around at the time I usually use this place. Many children being coached to play tennis and lots of adults playing so what else is there to say. This cafe is much better than the Inner Circle one as the organisation seems much better. Staff are unfailingly cheerful and many now recognise me so I often don't even have to order.
Hi Ken, Thank you for your positive feedback and for taking the time to post this review. We hope to see you again soon at Park Sports for another coffee or two!
Negative experience: The Padel court is very slippery. There is no sand on the court as it should. Very dangerous
Hi Alex,
Thank you for writing a review. I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience on our Padel court and we have taken your feedback on board and are acting on it. If you have any additional feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
Fantastic experience: Nice place to take a coffe and cake :)
Positive experience: 场地不错,每周都去 认识了很多球友
Negative experience: Only pretends to be open.
Negative experience: A scam and a horrible service
Positive experience: Great tennis courts. Amazing staff. The only water fountain is outside and the staff won’t give you tap water. A bit annoying given the fountain remains exposed to the weather and to other animals.
Fantastic experience: It was the best tennis court I ever played in my life. It’s surrounded by the beautiful nature.
Fantastic experience: Achamos sem querer esse pequeno café dentro das quadras de tênis pública. Lugar acolhedor, calmo e bonito. Bebidas quentes e lanches deliciosos. Chai Late maravilhoso. As mães ficam ali assistindo seus filhos aprenderem a jogar tênis.
Negative experience: Only went here to eat - not to play tennis! Microwave TV-dinner of extremely low quality. Do not go here to eat.
Fantastic experience: Great service, friendly staff, highly recommend stopping rher when in the park.
Fantastic experience: Came here the other day and loved it a lot
Fantastic experience: Good tennis courts
Fantastic experience: My mate from the UK brought me here for tea + chats was a good vibe definitely recommend goin to visit when in London.
Positive experience: Nicely tucked away from the main crowd. No queuing for food or toilets.
Fantastic experience: حديقة رائعة وجميلة للاسترخاء بعد عناء يوم في التسوق بلندن مع وجود بحيرة صغيرة ومجموعة من البط
Fantastic experience: ⛅️
Positive experience: Its very nice but overly expensive. The staff is not very helpful
Fantastic experience: Great to watch a top coach at work.
Fantastic experience: Optimal um mal zu entspannen. Sehr schöne und gepflegte Gartenanlage. Es gibt überall Sitzgelegenheiten und auch einen Kiosk.
Positive experience: Great to play and meet people
Fantastic experience: Nice coffee and watch the tennis, walk round Park, feed ducks, lovely day out
Fantastic experience: Was fun family day and lovely staff
Negative experience: For starters outside drinks not allowed, only the overpriced drinks from the club house. Secondly, all the staff care about is protecting their coaching cartel, by insisting no one use a ball hopper on court, unless you are one of their registered coaches - breaking fundamental human rights including Article 20, 1. Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association. 2. No one may be compelled to belong to an association. I have played at the very best tennis clubs in the world. This one is the very worst I have ever had the misfortune to experience.
Positive experience: Well looked after tennis courts with small cafe and shop adjacent. Shop sells tennis essentials.
Positive experience: No opinion
Positive experience: great, experience, £17 per court for 1 hour
Negative experience: Poor
Negative experience: Lpoks like a good tennis facility. We went to the tea room/shop. Average.. but staff unhelpful. Bought some drinks but would give us ice not even 1cube for a drink on a hot day. Appalling customer service.
Fantastic experience: Good
Fantastic experience: Many courts
Positive experience: Great courts and convenient location, however, it is an absolute nightmare to book if you are not a member. And even if you do become a member, memberships are exclusive to one specific location (Regent's Park) and not other locations such as Hyde Park or Greenwich Park.
Fantastic experience: Played the Roland Garros Social Tournament on Sunday 29/5/22. It was tiring but great fun. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Fantastic experience: Great place for tennis and paddle, the outdoors feel amazing on sunny days. Plus, also makes a great place for coffee/drink since there's a cafe with indoors and outdoors tables next to it.
Fantastic experience: Great coffee and cakes selection , friendly and professional staff they also do a selection of hot food and Ice cream, 1st time for me here and I am definitely coming back. Walking in regent's park it's always a pleasure we stopped for a quick coffee here and I strongly recommend it to you all ☺️✌️
Fantastic experience: A peaceful place in the heart of the park.
Positive experience: Staff were fun, would be better if tea and coffee served on China cups but overall it was enjoyable
Positive experience: I visited the cafe; Lovely staff and very quant little place, not a particularly wide selection of food but otherwise very nice!
Positive experience: Lovely location, bright interior, friendly staff, much quieter than the other busy park cafés. But the food was sadly just below mediocre.
Fantastic experience: Nice tennis place
Positive experience: Quite good tennis courts, the padel ones feel a bit outdated
Fantastic experience: So nice
Positive experience: Gorgeous location. So pretty. Court was flat but it’s tarmac so bounce is different from usual tennis courts.
Fantastic experience: 12 tennis courts and 2 padel
Fantastic experience: The weather was really nice for this time of year. So walking through park was pleasant we stopped to have coffee really good coffee.
Positive experience: A nice tennis park with at least 10 courts, but the surface looked and felt like plain asphalt, which is not very good for the legs.
Fantastic experience: great place!
Positive experience: Please do NOT buy the chocolate brownie, it upsets me when other have brought all the chocolate brownies.
Fantastic experience: Amazing park , love it
Fantastic experience: Great to have padel courts in central London!
Fantastic experience: A breath of fresh air in an already lush part of Marylebone, Regents Park's Will To Win Café will guarantee you great service and outstanding coffee. All the usual suspects are here: cappuccino, espresso, latte plus they have tea, a solid supply of healthy snacks such as lentil chips and all the juices and commercial soft and energy drinks one could ask for. According to friendly locals, this place serves the best coffee in Regents Park. Unsure who supplies their fresh blends and single origin beans but suspect it's Union Coffee, one of the most reliably fresh, tasty, locally owned sources around. There's also a drinking water fountain round the corner, spacious bathrooms with attached changing rooms and the booking service and tennis centre for the neighbouring courts, run by the award-winning Will To Win tennis company. Sit in serenity with a cup in hand indoors where it's often quiet and many an individual has accomplished written or typed work, planned their day, charged their phone or just sat to enjoy the peaceful ambience. Or, sit outside on the circular benches with parasols and admire the tennis courts in action, set in London's most beautiful Royal Park. Importantly, the customer service is fantastic and a special mention goes to Danilo, Catarina and David, who are versatile, efficient staff who deserve plaudits for their work. Don't miss out on this sleeper hit: for coffee aficionados, for solo travellers through the park, for groups and families wanting some refreshments and of course, for the tennis players. N.B. there is a rank of Santander Cycles nearby, plus this is a spot on many a dog walker's route through Regents Park, so if you're a canine fan, you must check this place out.
Positive experience: Love Tennis? This is the place for you to grab a coffee and selection of decent snacks before or after releasing your inner Williams/Nadal. Staff were friendly and prices reasonable for the area. Tables outside have seen better days. We sipped a decent coffee while watching some tennis pros of the future rally in the sun.
Negative experience: Group classes: teacher are great/funny. However not worth your money. We are way too many people in 1 group to be able to learn anything. Wish I read something like this before spending money and then going to only 3/6 classes cause I just didnt see the point after 3. Sorry :) They should really look into having less people per classe.
Positive experience: Quite pricey. But great location, and good courts.
Positive experience: £16 per court hour but for all the fun we had and being surrounded by the lushness of Regents Park, worth every penny.
Fantastic experience: Great courts with lovely lavender around them!
Positive experience: Nice courts, however it is a shame that you can't rent and rackets or balls now.
Negative experience: Don’t go to the cafe for drink and food. It is an utter ripoff. Fiver for a ready-made wrap, and 80p just to add wiped cream and marshmallow on top of a hot chocolate. No clear price tags were shown for these items!
Fantastic experience: 2 excellent padel courts
Positive experience: Another great location improvement from the will to win team, cafe and on site amenities are well kept and maintained.
Fantastic experience: Great little Oasis nice and shaded today always plenty of quality food coffee cake and ice cream. Good to watch the tennis as well.
Fantastic experience: Cannot play Tennis, however it's so nice to sit and read or revise there, listening to the sound of clacking of tennis balls to and throw in the distance. This is quite relaxing and I think it may help you concentrate better.
Fantastic experience: Wondering whether it's the right place for what you had in mind? Wonder no more. Within the Regent's Park you shall find: - The best picnic spots in town, including for small / medium family gatherings - Plenty of quiet areas to stay away from the crowds with small children - Squirrels and wildlife aplenty (don't feed them) - Buggy-friendly paved paths and a whole-a canal with kayakers and paddle boarders - An open-air theatre and cafes - Sports pitches (no drop-ins) - A zoo (actually, THE zoo) - An panoramic hill nearby (Primrose) And if you just fancy a nice walk, you are in the right place.
Positive experience: Nice set up with a cafe too
Fantastic experience: We've done tennis camp and courses here for my kids (8 and 11) and they enjoyed the experience.
Positive experience: Always like to watch people playing tennis there.
Fantastic experience: Excelent place to play tennis, book in advance in their website.
Fantastic experience: Joyful atmosphere all day long! Very inspirational instructors! You feel you were born to achieve and win!
Fantastic experience: Great tennis facility, super courts and coaches!
Fantastic experience: My kids and I love this place the most! The coaches are super cool and people who come to this court around late afternoon, nice staff and atmosphere are all so friendly. I think my kids are lucky to be here in their early years.
Fantastic experience: Good Covid practice and a great coffee
Fantastic experience: Ok
Positive experience: I had a takeaway BLT sandwich which was quite frankly, average at best. Disappointing. I won't be having that again...
Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful experience played with good professional players
Positive experience: It’s a great place to play tennis and have a drink or coffee
Fantastic experience: Lovely setting
