True Padel Sunderland

Fantastic experience: Been going here for a long time now and the courts and facilities are immaculate, the staff are friendly and helpful but I've never felt compelled to write a review. Today however we had a no show on our game and a member of staff (Tyler) stepped in so we weren't out of pocket and put of exercise. She was a great player and a good laugh and we had a great time. Thanks Tyler.

Positive experience: This is not against the company!!! The facilities and staff are fabulous but PLEASE BEWARE!!! We forgot to add our car reg on the iPad once out of various visits and despite providing evidence to the private parking company and them accepting it, we are still getting charged a £20 admin fee. I know we are at fault for forgetting but anyone could forget and I don’t want others being penalised in the same way.

Fantastic experience: I played padel for the first time recently, having played tennis and table tennis previously. I found it to be a hugely enjoyable experience and the facilities at True Padel were impressive. I definitely plan on revisiting.

Fantastic experience: Great place to wind down and keep fit. Love the facilities here in Sunderland and Danielle is top as well. She’s always making u feel welcome.

Positive experience: Arrogant actions by staff, which impresses no-one and only made for an atmopshere of sadness. Ok facilities though. Staff reflected after said actions and made the experience better.

Negative experience: A great experience with friends was ruined two weeks later by the appearance of a PCN parking fine of up to £100 landing at my door. I wasn't the only one to experience this out of the group. We had booked a 1 and a half hour session only to find that without registering your car with the padel centre, you could only park for up to an hour. In the four instances I've been to the Sunderland site, not once was this made clear to me by a person or on the app when booking. I was told when ringing the centre that it would be sorted only to be told 5 days later they were unable to cancel the charge and that there was sufficient signs up stating I needed to register my vehicle. I don't have this issue at Durham, so I'll be playing my padel there in future. I do feel sorry for the centre but these PCN vampires are popping up everywhere, with the support of councils and the DVLA.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic find a great place to play paddle facility’s are 5 star best we have found in the north east for my son who has just got into paddle . Staff a loverly and really friendly even when you lose 6 balls in a session . Will be a regular visitor . The only reason a Geordie comes to Sunderland . 5*

Fantastic experience: A great place to spend time actively with family and friends. The newly opened facility is clearly very popular, especially in the afternoon and evening. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended. Well done TRUE PADEL

Fantastic experience: Fantastic new facility!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time playing padel, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I played tennis in school and was rubbish, but this is really fun. The area is clean and is a nice cool temperature. It's a nice place to have for a fun activity. Will definitely come back. Make sure to book as there were no courts available on a Sunday morning.

Fantastic experience: So, I played yesterday with my 2 sons at the newly opened Padel courts in Sunderland. It's amazing and similar to the Durham sister facility except it also has two single courts!!- which is great. Since there were only 3 of us, I asked the manager Ben if there was a 4th person who could play with us. He kindly joined us for a while and we had a great game. Would highly recommend the facility and the team are very helpful

Fantastic experience: Just been down to the centre lovely venue nice to play on the single court! Carpet around the venue with a nice seating area! Will be back Saturday for more!

Negative experience: Parking signs non compliant with bpca guidelines (hence unable to agree to any parking contract) and constant illegal harassment threatening court action via text, letter and phonecalls for marginal overstaying 60 minutes whilst using businesses on the retail park. Edit 1 20th jan: this review is 100% relevant to the customers of your business as if they inadvertently fail to follow the poorly signed parking restrictions they are liable to illegal harassment (via letter, phone calls and sms). I highly recommend that you raise this issue with your landlord to highlight said practices to their appointed parking management company in order to protect your customers from such harassment.
