Positive experience: The padel courts are fine and well-maintained, and the toilets are clean, which is great. However, the racket rental is quite expensive at £10 each, compared to most other padel courts where it’s usually around £4–5.

Negative experience: £60 for an hour + £10pp for the paddle + £8 for buying the balls. £88 for 2 of us to play for an hour. Absolutely mad pricing. Won’t be going back until they start charging more realistic rates.

Negative experience: I can’t believe how expensive this is with the low quality paddle yard next to a construction area. It is 60p per hour for a yard rental and 10p per each paddle rental and 8p for buying the ball. I was really excited for this to open in such a convenient location and hoped to go everyday. Unless they change their ridiculous pricing, I will not go again.

Negative experience: I genuinely enjoy paddle and was excited to try out Paddle Yard in Vauxhall — but I was stunned to find they charge £10 per racket for a 1-hour session. That’s £40 for 4 rackets, on top of the already expensive £60 court rental fee. You’re essentially paying two-thirds the price of the court just to hold the equipment you need to play. There’s no justification for this kind of pricing. Paddle is meant to be accessible, yet this setup feels like price gouging — especially considering that most reputable venues either include basic equipment in the booking price or charge a small nominal fee (£2–5 tops, if that). No issue with the court itself — it’s well maintained and in a convenient location. But unless they revise this racket rental policy, I won’t be returning, and I’ll be encouraging friends and fellow players to look elsewhere. Bring your own gear or prepare to be overcharged.
