Fantastic experience: Welcoming team, lovely breakfast and high quality facilities. The course is well kept and offers a great challenge very strategic holes that need thinking through. We will be visiting again when we can.

Fantastic experience: First game - orange course. Fairways in excellent condition - drier than expected. Only 11 and side of 18 were damp and soggy. Greens and tees in very good order. Good to be able to play from the fairways on all of the par4 and 5 holes.

Fantastic experience: We had a 60th birthday party at Hamptworth and we had ordered a finger buffet. The quality and choice of the buffet was excellent and more than enough for everyone. Each of our guests were very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the venue, as well as the food, drinks and the efficiency of Zoe and her team. Zoe was also a great help with organising the play list which for us technophobes was a huge plus. We returned with some of our guests for breakfast the following day, unfortunately the weather was grim so they couldn't see the beautiful view of the course from the clubhouse very well. Despite this a couple of them expressed a desire to return and play the course. A huge thank you to Andy and all his team for making the occasion so special.

Fantastic experience: Came here for the first time for their junior's halloween golf event. Really friendly and helpful staff, nice driving range with Toptracer, and a lovely clubhouse, bar, and restaurant area. They're clearly working very hard to make this a great venue so I'm sure we'll come again.

Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of visiting this delightful club in September 23 and we received a very warm welcome and an excellent clubhouse (changing rooms are 2nd to none) with great service and menu. Additionally we found the golf course to be in great condition, in particular the greens, and with a great mixture of holes of different levels of trickery! A thoroughbly enjoyable visit, I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: Did you know you can play croquet at Hamptworth Golf and Country Club?!! We love it there! It’s a fun game of strategy and skill. Hamptworth has 5 lawns in the most beautiful and tranquil setting. And the Clubhouse is a great place in which to socialise after your game. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks to the ‘Hamptworth Team’ for making us all so welcome.

Fantastic experience: Played at Hamptworth on Saturday and decided to join, what a great golf club. The course was in excellent condition all members of staff were really great also not forgetting the great practice facilities and clubhouse. Well done Hamptworth team other golf courses should adopt the same concept so friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: Upon arrival, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The driving range facilities, fitted with Top Tracer, were fantastic. Playing Hamptworth for the first time, the GPS fitted buggy was a great help. The course was in excellent condition for the summer months. It is definitely one where you can't just bomb away, with strategically placed bunkers and waterways. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town. Rich & Lisa Perth, Australia

Fantastic experience: I played Hamptworth a very long time ago and have been wanting to play another round to see how it's developed. And I wasn't disappointed. Very friendly staff, a great club house and fantastic course. The greens were exceptional and the course in great condition considering the lack of rainfall recently. The clubhouse has to be seen to be fully appreciated. Its like Chelsea chic comes to Wiltshire. The course is in superb condition and the work being put into it is clearly paying off. Fantastic experience: A hidden gem! Popped in for a quick 18 as I'm holidaying in area and was knocked back by how nice this place is. The clubhouse is very smart and well done up, the service was friendly and frankly you'd be happy to hang out there with a quiet coffee under any circumstances. We were also impressed with the very sleek changing rooms and the tasty burgers we got for lunch. The practice range has TopTracer which is a really nice touch before you start your round. The course itself I thought was very strong. The routing through valleys and tree lines, out in to more open space on top of the hill, gives real variety and rewards strategic play. The conditioning was excellent, the course challenging. I enjoyed it enormously! I would come back here in a shot and will definitely make a point of returning. If you're in the area, grab a round. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Played today for the first time in 4 years, and despite the recent rain, the course was in fantastic condition. Hamptworth is a tough but fair challenge and I have to say, it was a pleasure to return! Finishing with a par 5 on the 18th always helps! The clubhouse is modern and fresh after the recent renovations I think, the staff likewise friendly and helpful. I would recommend Hamptworth to any golfer looking for a good test, you won't be disappointed in the whole experience. Nice to meet Ketie Dawkins as well after seeing her in golf Monthly!!

Fantastic experience: When I joined Hamptworth, the first thing that I noticed was not just the warm greeting I received from all the staff, but also how welcoming and helpful the other club members are. The clubhouse blew me away, and it is evident and refreshing to see that your membership fees are being put back into the organisation. The course has always been in excellent condition, especially considering the weather challenges the greens team have faced. This masters weekend was the best yet, and I can't wait to see what the summer holds. A fantastic location for playing golf and a mental recharge in the tranquil surroundings.

Fantastic experience: Just had a Sunday roast and it was absolutely hands down the best roast dinner we have eaten out with for a long time. The dining area is all new and modern and the staff, especially George and Holly were outstandingly pleasant and helpful. We are not members but the dining is open to the public and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be going back soon.

Fantastic experience: Played the course over Christmas with on a society day. Really well maintained fairways and greens and Tee boxes (despite the wet weather in the week prior!). Clubhouse is fantastic - looks like it not long been refurbished. Very friendly locals and staff - would 100% play again

Fantastic experience: Just finished a visit to Hamptworth GC everybody working extremely hard to complete club house and grounds for the soft opening on Wednesday. Fantastic experience: It's my golf club, so I am biased. But they are updating the clubhouse, so temporary bar and toilets in place until February 22. Come and visit in the new year.

Fantastic experience: The best golf course in the area in my opinion (for the price they charge to play). Dead quiet, beautiful tree lined holes spread out over a large plot of land and not over played. In the spring the forest lining the course gets lined with bluebells and from then on through the summer season this course is A1. It does suffer in the winter from being boggy in places like other courses in the area like Paultons down the road does however the greens remain good which is most important. The greens here are excellent as are the fringes and the quality of the playing surfaces for what you pay to play here are excellent. The white tees offer a much tougher challenge on a lot of the holes and make the course quite challenging on the back 9. This is a course which requires a lot of shot making and creative play and skill because of the undulations and sloping fairways on a lot of the holes. It can be a very frustrating golf course if youre not playing well! It's a hidden gem of a course with so much potential and It's really exciting to hear what the new owner and the team are planning for the place and can't wait to see how it evolves. So much work has already gone into getting the course and grounds up together and it's very well kept on top of. It's awesome.

Fantastic experience: The course was amazing, greens were perfect. Some long par 4's for the big hitters.. Quite hilly so be prepared for a long walk.. "THE BEAST " par 6 was fantastic to play..

Fantastic experience: Played midweek with my brother. Great greeting by the Pro Mike, who was very friendly and gave good helpful advice. Course was lovely and in excellent condition. The greens are small but run very true and the signature hole The Beast was definitely fun to play. Driving is key and you need to be straight down the middle ! Very reasonable cost and will definitely be back here again

Fantastic experience: Challenging, well kept and brilliant. Grounds in the middle of nowhere, feel really cut off. It's nice, really nice. Easy to get to, affordable and a great day out. Friendly staff, plenty of parking. The beast, the Par 6 six, off the gold tees. Truly lives up to its name. Course is long, very up and down, some fairways narrow sharply. I will be playing again but probably with a buggy. Round was 4.5 hours on foot.

Fantastic experience: Let’s start by saying I am a senior golfer and not very good. Played today. What a beautiful course, in immaculate condition. Yes the holes are challenging but the challenge is so worth it. Great value for the fee. Only criticism would be that the range is a bit pricey and the balls are absolute rubbish. I have no problem recommending this course and hope to return soon.

Positive experience: Had a society golf day here, and couldn't fault the hospitality, the food was really nice as were the staff. The only complaint was the course was waterlogged in places. And the greens wasn't in the best of shape, again mainly due to lack of work because of the weather. Will look forward to playing it again in the spring and summer months.

Fantastic experience: Friendly club, beautiful area, the cafe do nice lunches and coffee, also has a mini-golf course and tennis courts. There is also a gym here.
