Negative experience: Let me start this off by saying I don’t like to leave reviews even if I experience bad service but this is really bad. The customer service we received tonight was absolutely appalling. To start with when we asked if we could hire the racket for free the lady behind the desk said something like “you guys are taking the piss now, everyone else has to pay and you guys are getting it for free which was not a great way to respond to that but didn’t really bother me too much, The thing that really bothered me was when we got off the court around 10:01 or 10:02, the woman came up to us and had a go at us in a very unprofessional tone saying something along the lines of “when I tell you to get off the court at 10, I mean it. You don’t play for 1 or 2 more minuites, we aren’t a charity”. While I understand that we were off the court late, that is no way to speak to someone let alone a paying customer spending a lot of money at your establishment. Again, I don’t want to sound like i’m nagging but her saying that in such a condescending tone really ticked me off. To be honest, the establishment is great, facilities are clean and well kept and even the other staff member we dealt with was lovely but this experience has really made me not want to come back, if I am going to be spending close to a grand a month on padel I don’t expect to be talked to like i’m some sort of tramp begging to play padel. For context I started playing here at the beginning of march and in roughly 2.5 weeks we’ve played about 10 hours @ £38 per hour which is 380 so as you can see, me and my friends have spent a lot here. TLDR: Surge padel is a great place with great facilities but don’t go if you don’t want to be talked to like a tramp

Negative experience: Never coming back here again!! Imagen spending hundreds of pounds and being kicked out and shouted at calling you a charity. I own my own business too and would never allow my staff or colleagues speak to anyone like that let alone a customer. Very disappointed as I been starting to come here regularly.

Negative experience: Rude service and was told to hurry up and get out. I don't get paid for you to stay an extra 2 minute you know. This ain't a charity you know. And I was packing my thing ready to go and there was still about 8 to 10 people left behind me.. left speechless..

Fantastic experience: Great place to play the game, you can get lessons or just for a knock with friends. Always clean tidy and very reasonable price. Go try Padel!!!

Positive experience: I am very impressed with this padel facility. It's really well protected from the elements as it's housed inside an industrial unit. Great facilities and plenty of courts. Liked the fact that you can sit and have a beer with your friends afterwards. The only downside is that it's located in a very busy part of Bristol, and getting to it can take a while, especially if, like me, you're coming from Gloucestershire. The Surge Padel app (Playtomic) is excellent

Fantastic experience: Play regularly at this club. It's cheaper than all the other clubs in Bristol. It's easy to find open games with random people on playtomic which is a great benefit.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities, I've played at all the Bristol courts and I like the vibes at Surge the best and friendliest spot. Jess is the manager and really cool and helpful and I've done a lesson with Scott which was brilliant, will definitely do that again. Highly recommend

Positive experience: Really enjoying Padel and playing at the courts here. Some of the courts are starting to look a little ‘tired’, but more importantly, if you’ve not got your own racket, the likelihood is that you’ll be paying £5 to rent one, but it’ll be cracked/split/grip falling apart and not much use when trying to play. If you query this, the response will be ‘Yeah, we know most of them are like that’……

Negative experience: Looks a lovely venue, however as a local sign maker (Atomic Signs) we are disappointed that after over two months we have still not been paid for work carried out on these premises, despite many polite emails etc,

Positive experience: Was a good club, lots of courts and good players, staff seemed nice. Would be 5 stars but took me a while to get used to the courts as they are laid with what feels like Velcro compared to a Spanish court, was odd, not the usual Padel material and the ball kicks up a lot different

Negative experience: Do not sign up to a trial session if you value your personal data with this company. They have without consent used my personal information to bombard with continual sales messages. I have asked them 10 times now to remove my mobile number from their Sales spam lists and they have failed to do so. The general manager doesn't respond and they are clearly completely clueless. I have now got ICO involved because of this blatent misuse of my personal data and breach of GDPR.

Fantastic experience: Surge padel from my point of view is the best padel club in bristol and one of the best clubs in the Uk because of the elite courts and the friendly staff. Especially the friendly staff. Also, Jose Munoz who is one of best people that I have dealt with in a padel club because of the technical assistance that he provides you ,the way he gets along with everyone and finally he always makes you feel part of the surge padel team which makes you feel at home.

Fantastic experience: Love this place. Great facilities, sensible pricing (unlike rocket padel) and staff are brilliant. Kids also love the game and they can even play against their grandad. Go for it.

Positive experience: Great facilities, but racket hire is expensive (£5, no refundable) and you have to have your own balls (despite a big crate of them in the corner, which for beginners would be fine) at £8 for 3.

Fantastic experience: Surge is like a second home to me and my partner now! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming- particularly Jessi, Sam & Jose! Facilities are amazing and we are becoming absolutely addicted to the game!

Negative experience: Honestly, I liked the facilities. But I received a rental racket that was damaged. They should review all of them. Also the courts have no sand which really increases the impact on your legs and risk of injury.

Negative experience: Went to play today from 12.30 to 2. Premises are good, changing room are awesome, best I've ever seen in a long time. Pádel rackets hiring overpriced, 5 pounds other places around charge £2.5. Customer service was horrible... They gave us 3 balls to play, 2 of them were completely flat.. I went to the counter to ask them to swap them for another 2 in good condition to play, the guy refused and advised me to buy brand new ones instead. Probably won't be back again

Fantastic experience: Surge Padel is a really good Padel Club. They’ve got loads of courts (I think 8). The whole building is cool and modern. I’ve been to the beers and Bandeja social event a few times and would recommend it as it’s good fun. The booming system is through and app called Playtomic which is actually really easy to use and is a great way to set up games.

Negative experience: I had heard positive feedback about Surge Padel's classes from friends, so I decided to register for a Wednesday session I found on the Playtomic app. The class was designated for Padel Level 0-1.5 and was scheduled to commence at 6 pm. On my way to the club, I received a phone call around 5:30 pm. Attempting to return the call, I found no response. Despite this, I arrived punctually for the class. Upon my arrival, the coach immediately informed me that I couldn't participate due to my level and the late registration. He even said ‘you can get a refund if you WANT” and highlighting that he had called me at 5:30 pm to notify me of this. I pointed out that it was merely half an hour prior to the game, and I had tried to call him back. He responded with, "I am very busy." Despite the app indicating the class was for beginners, the presence of two advanced male players seemed to be the reason for my rejection, despite my 40-minute cycling journey to the club. He shifted the blame to me for not answering his call, criticized the app, and displayed no remorse. This experience was extremely frustrating, regardless of one's skill level or passion for the sport. Furthermore, the promised KIND refund has not been credited to my bank account. I haven't written a review in a while, but I believe that sharing my experience might encourage them to reflect on their behavior and be more accommodating and respectful towards women and beginners, rather than using bluntness as an excuse. This is the least I can do to address the issue.

Jose is a great coach and makes you feel welcome every time you walk through the door! Great for adults and a fun family activity too. Padel is so much fun…you’ll be addicted in no time!

Fantastic experience: Had a great first time playing padel earlier this week, the facility is purpose built and is well designed for the sport as far as I can tell. It's so fun being able to play shots off of the back of the court and you can pick it up quite quickly. Whilst we were there we had a chat with the manager about the sport and it sounds like padel is on the rise.

Fantastic experience: This place is superb! Still fresh and new, insanely modern and well maintained. The staff are approachable and friendly, they even offered us a free taster game. The Coaches are amazing and really care about improving novice players’ skills. Can't recommend it enough, just like tennis only more fun

The setup is fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly and provided us with all the necessary equipment and instructions to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. The facility is spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of room for us to move around and play. The game itself was really fun and competitive, and we all had a great time. I would highly recommend Surge Bristol to anyone looking for a fun and unique activity to enjoy with friends or family.
