At Skipton Tennis Centre, you will find a range of facilities designed to cater to tennis and padel enthusiasts. Enjoy our 5 outdoor tennis courts and 1 outdoor padel court, perfect for both casual matches and competitive play.
We offer a variety of programs, including private and group coaching, tailored to players of all skill levels. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced player refining your technique, our expert coaches are here to help.
Become part of our community through membership options that grant you access to our facilities and special events. Court hire is also available for those who wish to simply enjoy a game with family or friends.
During school holidays, we run holiday camps that combine fun and learning, providing kids a great opportunity to improve their skills while making new friends.

9 months ago Negative experience: Got my racket restrung by Mark the tennis shop Owner, I am not happy with it as he used a stringing tension that was not agreed after trying to sell me everything under the sun, I played with the racket twice and the strings were moving a lot, I went back to Mark and asked him the stringing tension he used and he said 23kg which is outside the recommended tension so I ask if he could re string them in the recommended tension and he said yes but at the full price!

The club shop always aims to provide expert advice and a high-quality service, tailored to each player’s indiviual needs. We understand your concern regarding the string tension, and apologise if there was any miscommunication during your initial discussion on how you wanted the racket to be strung. The recommended tensions on the rackets are a manufacturers guideline only, many players have their rackets strung outside of these guidelines.

2 years ago Fantastic experience: I've been a member of the club for a couple of years now: relearning an old hobby through coaching and social hits. I've loved every minute. The atmosphere is open and welcoming. The club has great outreach into the local community so it's very inclusive. The coaching is exceptional and great fun.

3 years ago Fantastic experience: My son recently had his 6th birthday party at Skipton Tennis Centre and they were amazing from start to finish. Organising was really easy and the day itself was a great success. Ben, the coach was excellent and the children played a variety of sports/games. Would highly recommend!

4 years ago Fantastic experience: My sons had a truly amazing experience participating in tennis camp on various days throughout the summer holiday, they couldn't wait to go back each time! The environment felt safe, the tennis camp was extremely well organised and, above all else, it was hugely fun. Thank you to Adam, Ella and the team at Skipton Tennis Centre for everything.

5 years ago Fantastic experience: Really excellent summer club for our 7 and 5 year old boys. They love going and have lots of fun there. The staff and coaches are great and the boys have made some lovely friends there too.

6 years ago Fantastic experience: Mark re-strung my racket today... very welcoming and service was spot on! Gave me great advice on what would be best for my racket and game play with the string setups... hopefully I can get over to play at some point. Thanks a million Aaron

6 years ago Fantastic experience: Fabulous family tennis club! The coaches are awesome and always smiling whatever the weather, they cater for every level and every age. We always feel very welcome, looked after and included. Mark from the shop goes out of his way to help you. Fully deserving of the LTA club of the year.

6 years ago Fantastic experience: I just wanted to say what a great club STC is. I started learning and playing tennis when I retired. I wasn’t sure how it would work out but Adam was really welcoming. The club has players of all ability levels, with coaching and activities to suit, including social and competitive tennis on excellent courts. These were recently improved with the addition of floodlights and the club has ambitious plans to develop facilities further following its well-deserved award of LTA National Club of the Year. I’ve found it really friendly and inclusive from day one, even down to the well-stocked club shop where I was able to get kitted out at reasonable cost. I was quickly playing regularly and continue to three years on. If you’re thinking about taking up tennis but feel a bit unsure I can only say give Adam a call and give STC a try.
